The ACLS Provider Course provides the knowledge and skills needed to evaluate and manage the first 10 minutes of an adult ventricular fibrillation/ventricular tachycardia arrest. Providers are expected to learn to manage 10 core ACLS cases: a respiratory emergency, four types of cardiac arrest (simple VF/VT, complex VF/VT, PEA, and asystole), four types of prearrest emergencies (bradycardia, stable tachycardia, unstable tachycardia, and acute coronary syndroms) and stroke.
PREREQUISITE: Qualified health care provider with the ability to interpret EKGs and with knowledge of core cardiac medications. Must complete precourse material included in the text book (required to purchase text book in advance).

Basic ECG Interpretation and Cardiac Pharmacology

This course is designed for the entry-level healthcare provider to learn basic cardiology and basic pharmacology associated with cardiac dysrhythmias. This includes analysis of the electrical impulses of the heart, identification of sinus, atrial, junctional and ventricular rhythms as well as the cardiac medications associated in treating these rhythms. This course would be helpful to take prior to the initial Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) course but is not a requirement or prerequisite for the course.

The ACLS Provider Course provides the knowledge and skills needed to evaluate and manage the first 10 minutes of an adult ventricular fibrillation/ventricular tachycardia arrest. Providers are expected to learn to manage 10 core ACLS cases: a respiratory emergency, four types of cardiac arrest (simple VF/VT, complex VF/VT, PEA, and asystole), four types of prearrest emergencies (bradycardia, stable tachycardia, unstable tachycardia, and acute coronary syndroms) and stroke.
PREREQUISITE: Qualified health care provider with the ability to interpret EKGs and with knowledge of core cardiac medications. Must complete precourse material included in the text book (required to purchase text book in advance).
