ACLS Provider
The ACLS Provider Course provides the knowledge and skills needed to evaluate and manage of an adult ventricular fibrillation/ventricular tachycardia arrest. Providers are expected to learn 10 core ACLS cases: a respiratory emergency, 4 types of cardiac arrest ( simple VF/VT, complex VF/VT, PEA, and Asystole) four types of prearrest emergencies (bradycardia, stable tachycardia, unstable tachycardia and acute coronary syndroms) and stoke

CPR Provider
The BLS Healthcare Provider Course teaches CPR skills for victims of all ages (including doing ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device, and oxygen); use of an AED; and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (FBAO). It's intended for participants who provide health care to patients in a wide variety of settings, including in-hospital and pre-hospital.

PALS Provider
The goal of the Pediatric Advanced Life Support Course is to provide the learner with: 1)Information needed to recognize infants and children at risk for cardiopulmonary arrest. 2)Information and strategies needed to prevent cardiopulmonary arrest in infants and children. 3)The cognitive and psychomotor skills needed to resuscitate and stabilize infants and children in respiratory failure, shock or cardiopulmonary arrest.

PEARS Provider
Pediactric Emergency Assessment Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) is designed for Healthcare providers that infrequently see critically ill children. The program prepares a student to assess, catagorize, decide and act early to stabilze the child. This class is a great opprotunity for EMT's, Paramedic and RN's to get CE's other than the traditional CPR, ACLS and PALS.

12 Lead Module One: The Basics
This course if the first of three modules designed to increase knowledge as it relates to 12 lead EKG Interpretation. Information presented in this module covers the basics of the 12 Lead, including ischemia, injury and death and how each present, some antatomy as it relates to the areas represented by the 12 Lead, and establishes a base knowledge for Module 2 to build on.

12 Lead Module Two: Left vs. Right
This course is the second of three modules designed to increase knowledge as it relates to 12 Lead EKG Interpretation. Information presented in this module looks at some of the differences in the Left Vetricular Inafart and Right Ventricular Infarct. It also identifies some common side effects of these infarcts, treatment modalities as they relate to ICEMA Protocols, and establishes a base knoweldge for Module 3 to build on.

This course is the last in three modules designed to increase knowledge as it relates to 12 Lead EKG Intrepreation. Information presented in this module looks at some of the more typical mimics that result in false positive activations of Cath Labs. It also reviews the information presented in the first two modules.

ICEMA Annual Review Class (ARC)
This course is designed by ICEMA and is a requirement for Paramedics and MICN's certified within the ICEMA Region. This course must be taken each calendar year, and during the year in which your certification expires prior to recertification. For example: If you expire in July 2011, you must have an ARC in 2010 and another in 2011 prior to July. If you have any questions regarding recertification, reference protocol 1060 or contact ICEMA (www.sbcounty.gov/icema)
