Our courses are scheduled around the needs of our 7/24 EMS staff, providing flexible scheduling both for our own students, and for our guests from other agencies.
- 12 Lead (Basic Interpretation & Recognition) Module 1
- This is part one of a three module program. Module One is designed for Paramedics who need refresher in 12 lead interpretation and recognition, Paramedic Students and EMT's looking to expand their knowledge.
- 12 Lead (Left vs Right) Module 2
- This is the second of the series of 12 Lead Courses. This module will go into the differences between the Left and Right ventricular Infarcts, Reciprocal Changes, and Different Precordial Lead placement. It is encouraged for those attending this module to take Module 1, Basic Interpretation and Recognitition. This course is 4 hours of education with CE's Provided.

- 12 Lead (The Mimics) Module 3
- This is the last of the classroom Modules covering the MI Mimics typically seen in the field. This will also touch base with information covered in the first two modules. It is not required, but recommended that you complete Module 1 and Module 2 before taking this course
- 3 Day-EMT Refresher Course
- 24 hours of CEs, Skills Verification and CPR recert. Meets county accreditation requirements.
- 3-Day EMT Review Course
- To include a new CPR card, completed SCV form and 24 hours of CEs
- ACLS
- The ACLS Provider Course provides the knowledge and skills needed to evaluate and manage the first 10 minutes of an adult ventricular fibrillation/ventricular tachycardia arrest. Providers are expected to learn to manage 10 core ACLS cases: a respiratory emergency, four types of cardiac arrest (simple VF/VT, complex VF/VT, PEA, and asystole), four types of prearrest emergencies (bradycardia, stable tachycardia, unstable tachycardia, and acute coronary syndroms) and stroke.
Prerequisites: Qualified health care provider with the ability to interpret EKGs

- ACLS Recert
- The ACLS recertification course is for seasoned ACLS providers who wish to renew their provider status.
Prerequisites: Current ACLS card in hand on the day of class

- ARC 2009 (Annual Review Class)
- This course is designed by ICEMA and required for paramedic recertification. You must attend an ARC for each calendar year of your certification. Please reference your protocols or the ICEMA website for information regarding recertification within the county.

- This is designed for the EMT who desires to enhance his skills to better assist his Paramedic Partners

- MONTHLY CONTINUING EDUCATION TOPICS FOR THE EMT AND PARAMEDIC
- CPR
- The BLS Healthcare Provider Course teaches CPR skills for helping victims of all ages (including doing ventilation with a barrier device, a bag-mask device, and oxygen); use of an AED; and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (FBAO). It's intended for participants who provide health care to patients in a wide variety of settings, including in-hospital and pre-hospital.

- The Field Care Audit is an hour for hour continuing education review of prehospital care records.

- Fire Camp Training
- Must complete class prior to any fire camp assignment.
- First Aid and CPR (combo)
- This course deals with Heat Related Emergencies and will also contain field care audits. This class will be for a total of 3 CE's.

- PALS
- The goal of the Pediatric Advanced Life Support Course is to provide the learner with:
1. Information needed to recognize infants and children at risk
for cardiopulmonary arrest.
2. Information and strategies needed to prevent cardiopulmonary
arrest in infants and children.
3. The cognitive and psychomotor skills needed to resuscitate
and stabilize infants and children in respiratory failure, shock
or cardiopulmonary arrest.

- Paramedic Preceptor Workshop
- This course is required by colleges in order for Paramedics to precept Interns Pre-Hospital. Different Colleges put on different programs, questions and concerns should be directed to the Colleges in Question. This Course is put on by the various Colleges and not American Medical Response.

- Geriatric Topics including changes in physiology, communication and social issues

- PEARS (Pediatric Emergency Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)
- Designed for Healthcare providers that infrequently see critically ill children. The program prepares a student to assess, catagorize, decide and act early to stabilze the child.
This class is a great opprotunity for EMT's, Paramedic and RN's to get CE's other than the traditional CPR, ACLS and PALS.

- PHTLS
- This is the "core" course of PHTLS instruction. It is designed to provide the prehospital care provider with knowledge and skills for the prehospital assessment and care of the trauma patient.

- PHTLS Refresher
- This is a 8 hour refresher class.
Prerequesite: Must have a current PHTLS card in hand on day of class.
- Preceptor Workshop
- The Preceptor Workshop prepares the paramedic with at least two years of field experience to participate in the field training of paramedic students enrolled in a California paramedic program.
- Prehospital Case Reviews
- This class is being taught by AMR Riverside County Medical Director Dr. Sam Chua. You will receive 4hrs CEU’s for this class. The class is free to anyone interested. Lunch will also be provided. Please register, as seating is limited.

- This event is scheduled from so that those needing their skills checkoffs may come at any point during the day that best fits their schedule. This allows both the Paramedic and EMT obtain the skills required by ICEMA for recertification. This is not the orientation piece required for new paramedics within the County. AMR Employees are encouraged to come with their partner. although it is not required.
- Snake Bite Emergencies & Field Care Audits
- This course deals with snake bite emergencies and will also contain field care audits. This class will be for a total of 3 CE's.
